Woman falls to death after jumping in excitement of marriage proposal

Cape Town – What was supposed to be the most romantic day of their lives turned into one of tragedy, when an Ibiza holidaymaker fell to her death seconds after her boyfriend asked her to marry him.
Daily Mail reports that Dimitrina Dimitrova who was visiting the island from Bulgaria sustained serious injuries after falling 19 metres at the small resort of Cala Tarida.
The fall occurred seconds after her boyfriend, who works as a waiter on the island, proposed to her at an elevated spot famed for its sunset views. Apparently she had been so excited about the proposal, that she had jumped up and down, lost her footing and tumbled down the cliff.

Dimitrova had arrived only two days earlier to visit her boyfriend.
In a similarly tragic local incident, a young woman recently fell to her death at Northcliff Hill in Johannesburg while on a first date.
Cheynne Holloway had reportedly been posing on a rock close to the edge of the well-known Joburg lookout point, while her companion, James Oliver, took photographs. According to an eyewitness, Oliver had looked down for a few seconds to adjust settings on his tripod and when he looked up again, Holloway was gone.
The 21-year-old had fallen 20metres and died a short while after paramedics arrived at the scene.
